Konštantína Filozofa University in Nitre is named after an important historical figure in Slovak history. The university is the sixth largest in the country, offers a large number of study programs and focuses on research activities, always striving to obtain unique results that contribute to the development of knowledge.

Konštantína Filozofa University in Nitre annually holds scientific and artistic events to present its results in research projects.

A trip into history

In 1959, the Pedagogical Institute began its work in Nitra to graduate primary and secondary school teachers.

Then the university began to prepare specialists for a wide range of cultural and social spheres. Since 1992, a pedagogical college has been established in Nitra, and since 1993, a faculty of humanities and natural sciences has been founded

And in 1996, the current University of Konštantína Filozofa v Nitre was founded, and the popularity of the university is steadily growing both among Slovaks and abroad. The university is designed for up to fifteen thousand students, and the teaching staff consists of almost 600 teachers.

Faculty of Natural Sciences

After completing their studies in Slovakia at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, they become specialists in various fields, including mathematics, physics and chemistry, as well as biology, geography and many others. Thanks to the competent teaching staff and the use of modern teaching methods, each student receives a wealth of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Those who have received higher education in Slovakia at the Faculty of Natural Sciences become laboratory assistants, employees of research centers and scientific institutes. Thanks to the knowledge gained at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health, a student can subsequently work in almost any medical institution.
