Catholic University in Ružomberok is a young (21 years old) state university, founded in a developed industrial city.

Despite its young age, it is among the top twenty universities in the country. It is designed to train up to eight thousand students, and the teaching staff consists of about four hundred teachers.

Catholic University in Ružomberok actively participates in student exchange programs, and is a member of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU).

Catholic University in Ružomberok is a state university with a confessional character. The university operates primarily in the fields of history, humanities, education, natural sciences, social sciences and medicine, as well as in the fields of art, economics, management and law.

The University follows the tradition of Catholic universities throughout the world, defending and promoting human dignity and cultural heritage, responding to the challenges of modernity based on the principles of Christianity, which form in people a mature and responsible personality, capable of bringing the Gospel message of love and solidarity to society, in the formation of opinions and views.
